Monsieur Yeux Bleus

Inspired by a photo that I took of an artistic mosaic piece made with millions of metallic tiles in the window of a decorator shop while strolling the streets of Paris the evening of January 1, 2018. It is unfortunate that I do not have a record of the name or the address of the shop. Je suis trés, trés  désolé!

 Monsieur Yeux Bleu

I laugh,
I cry,
I slightly die…
Your piercing blues,
they see right through.
I close my eyes,
I see your face,
and your eyes.
I can see deeper,
soft and blue,
comforting and warm.
Mesmerizing they pull me in,
deep within.
Missing your eyes…
I laugh,
I cry,
I slightly die…

I smile,
I cry,
I slightly die…
Your eyes of steel,
they make me feel
protected and strong.
Hold me in your trance forever long.
I close my eyes, I see your face,
and your eyes.
Your eyes, I can see deeper,
soft and blue,
Mesmerizing they pull me in,
deep within.
Missing your eyes…
I smile,
I cry,
I slightly die…

 I cry,
I cry,
I continue to die…
Your distant gaze slowly fads with passing daze,
I wonder aimlessly in muted haze.
Wondering, wondering without song,
Definitely, I am not strong.
I close my eyes, I see your face,
and your eyes.
Missing your eyes…
I cry,
I cry,
I die…
